Choosing where to take your senior pictures can be just as exciting as choosing what to wear.
As a Fargo, ND senior photographer, I love helping seniors find locations that feel beautiful, natural, and true to who they are. From tall grasses and winding rivers to downtown architecture and colorful fall trees, the Fargo-Moorhead area has so many unique places for senior photography.
And you don’t have to choose just one.
Your senior session can move through a few different locations and create a gallery that feels varied, personal, and completely you.

Orchard Glen Park
If you love nature, Orchard Glen Park is one of my favorite places for senior pictures near Fargo.
The park has a beautiful mix of tall grasses, mature trees, winding trails, and the river. It gives us plenty of variety without feeling like we are constantly moving from one place to another.
In the spring, you can find beautiful blossoms and fresh green tones that make the whole park feel soft and new. In the fall, the changing leaves bring warm golds, oranges, and rich autumn colors to your photographs.
There is something especially beautiful about senior portraits surrounded by nature, the movement of the grasses, the light filtering through the trees, and those quiet moments where you can simply slow down and take it all in.

Downtown Fargo
If nature isn’t quite your style, downtown Fargo offers a completely different feel for senior pictures.
The architecture, textures, streets, and urban surroundings create a more editorial and modern look. There are so many little pockets around downtown that we can use to create images that feel less traditional and a little more you.
Some of the downtown Fargo spots we can incorporate include the Federal Courthouse, RDO Building, parking garages, and the Ivers Building.
Your Senior Session Should Feel Like You

There isn’t one perfect location for senior pictures in Fargo.
The best location is the one that fits you.
Maybe that’s wandering through the trees in your favorite boots. Maybe it’s an urban session downtown with a more fashion-forward feel. Maybe it’s running through tall grasses at golden hour or finding beautiful fall color tucked away somewhere unexpected.
And sometimes, it’s a little bit of everything.
That’s why every Emma Lucille Photos senior session includes access to my curated location guide, created specifically for my clients.
My Curated Fargo Senior Photo Location Guide
One of my favorite parts of being a local senior photographer is continually exploring the Fargo-Moorhead area and discovering new places to photograph.
My location guide includes a collection of beautiful senior photo spots throughout the area, complete with images so you can see what each location actually looks like before choosing where you’d like your session to take place.
And yes, there are even a few spots I keep a little more tucked away.
Including my secret spot, personally scouted by Emma.
Because sometimes the most beautiful locations aren’t the ones you’ll find on the first page of Google.
They’re the ones you discover while wandering, exploring, and paying attention to the light.
